| No 1 End Cab |

Photographed during the process of moving D402 from the steam shed to its current home in the Private Locomotive Owners Group Shed at Buckfastleigh on 25 April 2008, it can be seen that the work on returning the No 1 Cab to as built condition is well advanced. The headlight fitted during refurbishment has been removed and the hole that it left has been plated over. The headcode panel recess has also been opened up ready for the refitting of working headcode equipment. Photo © Rob Evans

Compared to the interior of No 2 cab, there has been plenty of work undertaken already on the cab at No 1 end. The instrument panels have been removed and the cab ceiling removed to allow access to the space where the new headcode box will be fitted. Photo © Andy Thomson |
